"I forgot to go to Tamworth, but I have a good excuse!"

Bloggity Blog: February 2016

"I forgot to go to Tamworth, but I have a good excuse!"

Perhaps I need to start this update with an apology? To all my loyal 'bastards', who've taken a pledge to join my shenanigans each and every Tamworth festival. Yes, I was MIA this year, but you'll be pleased to know it was with good cause and I PROMISE you right now, some 11months ahead, that next year's TCMF won't be without me!

I'd provide a list a mile long (if I wanted to bore you) detailing the ins and outs of my recent hectic, but not-so-musical months! No, I haven't been spending time with the Fanny Mechanic, there are no more two-legged natural disasters headed this way! Cyclone & Hurricane are both keeping me busy, doing their best to influence the content of my upcoming album (if only I could find the time to finish "All Toddlers are Arseholes!"); and I'm the first to admit how much I've enjoyed the steady 'Mum and Speech Therapist' focus that these past months have had! We sold our home and bought ourselves a couple of acres with which to play when we're not writing, recording or touring fuck songs! Yay! Plus, as promised, we've got 5 new tracks underway in the studio, due for completion later this month. Double yay! Aaaaaand believe it or not, we have now entered the world of school fees!? How fuckin' scary is that!? Perhaps I've been behaving myself in recent months to increase the chances of the Cyclone being accepted into a Christian school? Here's hoping it's worked!? I guess I shouldn't hold my breath though.

Plans for 2016's projects are slowly being aligned & many will be pleased to hear that a video or two should be in the mix! Yay! It's been too long since I've turned on my deliciously rough charm for the camera (with the exception of our live promo vid of course), so I'm thrilled to be planning music videos for a couple of the latest tracks! Now, all you die hard MA15+/R18+ fans can rest assured, there will be no holds barred with these new vids, for I shall never turn back from the direction this bloody amazing sideline career has taken me! So, look out!

Please spare a thought for me in coming weeks, as I endure the pain of packing and moving and be sure to keep your ears and eyes peeled for the new tracks and a new video to follow, all amidst some long overdue live shows!

While we begin to deliver the new material across this year, we will tour 'The Last of the "Start Ya Bastard" Tours' in parts of the eastern states, so I'm very much looking forward to coming your way for a gig or three!

Stay tuned!

Over 'n out! LE xx
